Ficus Audrey “Tree” is the same as a Ficus Audrey “Bush” but with all the leaves still intact on the trunk. It is common to trim the lower leaves of a Ficus off the trunk to shape them into small tree-like shapes. Both are beautiful and healthy, it just is a matter of aesthetic preference.
Plant Doctor Ficus Care Guide:
Ficus prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate more moderate light but won't grow as quickly.
Ficus like to dry out slightly in between waterings. Water once every 7-14 days depending on the time of year. During the warmer months they will require more water.
Allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out, and then water thoroughly, allowing water to drain out of the bottom of the plant.
*Ficus are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The milky sap can also cause contact irritation to sensitive skin. Small amounts of ingested material can be mildly poisonous and may cause some irritation or even vomiting. It is unlikely that a pet or child will eat large amounts because of the taste and texture but if large portions of ficus have been ingested, please seek medical help or call a poison hotline.
