Plant Doctor Variegated Rubber Tree Care Guide:

Variegated Ficus Elastica, aka "Rubber Tree Plants" prefer lots of bright, indirect light. Keep out of harsh, direct sunlight as their leaves can get sunburnt. 

Ficus like to dry out slightly in between waterings. Water once every 7-14 days depending on the time of year. During the warmer months they will require more water.

Allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out, and then water thoroughly, allowing water to drain out of the bottom of the plant. These are sensitive to humidity - keep away from drafts and air vents.

*Ficus are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The milky sap can also cause contact irritation to sensitive skin. Small amounts of ingested material can be mildly poisonous and may cause some irritation or even vomiting. It is unlikely that a pet or child will eat large amounts because of the taste and texture but if large portions of ficus have been ingested, please seek medical help or call a poison hotline.
